The cost of running a student technology support program may include any of the following expenses:
- faculty advisor (salary plus stipend if program is after school)
- professional development for advisor
- curriculum or curriculum development
- materials
- a classroom or location
- help desk software, phones, and computers for students
- practice equipment
- toolkits
- travel or conference fees
Costs may be offset by savings for the school or district.
Grants may be available to fund programs that target certain students, schools, or offer workforce development opportunities (through Perkins funds
or the Workforce Investment Act).
